Jelena Spasic joined Visionary Philanthropic Consulting as a Project Manager and Administrative Assistant. She brings a world of experience in project management to keep complex, multi-faceted projects on track and on schedule. Her work with clients and consultants exemplifies professionalism and courtesy.

Jelena’s technology expertise runs from platforms like Office 365, Teams, Smartsheet, Mailchimp, Alchemer, Bigtime, Basecamp, and Monday.com to Intuit Products and social media. She helps support each engagement to ensure that benchmarks are met and KPI’s are clearly understood and reported.

Jelena has been managing IT projects in healthcare for the past decade and more recently served as a Client Service Manager in the financial industry.

Jelena’s exposure to the nonprofit world began with Doctors without Borders. She considers her 5-year tenure with them as one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in her career. She served as the Finance Manager. Jelena monitored services to refugees and displaced persons in post-war Serbia, where she lived at the time. She developed a strong interest in helping those who needed medical and mental health services in that war torn environment. In addition, Jelena assisted refugees in finding permanent housing solutions and helped them become fully integrated into a new community. She volunteered as an ESL teacher for refugee and displaced children and as an interpreter for asylum seekers.

When she is not working, Jelena enjoys tennis, yoga, weight training, travel, preparing dishes from the many countries she has visited. She describes herself as a lifelong learner and looks at everything in her professional and personal life as an exciting opportunity for growth.

She considers her mission to be creating value and a better world somehow on an individual micro level. Jelena is very passionate about keeping the world a beautiful place by doing as much as she can as an individual to reduce her ecological footprint and serve as an example to her own family and friends. She is also very passionate about helping children’s organizations and hospitals.
