Alicia R Phillips

CONSULTANT
BIO   |

Alicia Phillips, Founder and CEO of the New Impact Fund, isn’t just a leader in philanthropy – she’s a force for economic justice. With 30 years of experience at the intersection of philanthropy, leadership development, and anti-racism work, her mission is crystal clear: to ignite BIPOC wealth within the Twin Cities by injecting critical capital into BIPOC-owned businesses, specifically mobilizing new funds to fuel Black economic power locally.

Alicia’s impact transcends the New Impact Fund. She previously helmed Redwood Campaign Advisors, a renowned Minneapolis consultancy, where she guided nonprofits like Summit Academy, Community Reinvestment Fund, and Youthprise towards impactful fundraising. Earlier leadership roles at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation and Next Innovations further solidified her commitment to equity and justice.

Ms. Phillips holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Macalester College. Ms. Phillips has volunteered on local nonprofit boards and is a member of Beth El synagogue.  She also finds time to embrace her passion for Pickleball.  She is married and has a daughter.
